Important Information for Homeowners

SHOULD YOU COAT YOUR ROOF YOURSELF?

The average roof (i.e. 2500 square feet) takes just seven hours per coat. Three coats are ideal, with 24 hours curing time between coats. That means you can do it quickly (one coat per day for three days) OR you can do it more slowly, such as one day on each of three weekends!

It's quite easy to coat your own roof. If you buy a long-handled roller, just walk along your roof, rolling on the protection as you go! There is no need to get on your hands and knees!

The cost of coating a 2500 square foot roof yourself averages from $1000 to $1250. While contractors rates vary, expect to double those numbers if you hire a professional to do the job.

If you're "coating" yourself, please note the advantages of purchasing your roof coating from OHM'S Research, a local family owned and operated company since 1952.

We will do the following:

a. When you phone, we take the time to listen so we can give you expert answers, based on 40 years local research and weather/roofing experience.

b. We'll advise you on how to do the job right, OR, if you prefer, we'll recommend a reliable contractor.

c. We deliver our Polar Cap product within three days or less, even on orders of just five pails! (Phoenix customers only.)

d. We sell the same formula to YOU that we sell to contractors.

e. MOST IMPORTANT, WE DON'T CHARGE FOR THESE "EXTRAS".
We are the same price or lower per square foot than other quality roof coating products.
