CONTRACTORS GUIDE Section 9 - PARAPET WALLS

Inspect parapet walls closely and measure accurately when estimating product required. Moisture which penetrates the parapet wall can damage the coated roof. The coverage rate for parapet walls is approximately 50 - 70 square feet per gallon, using POLAR CAP PREMIUM ROOF COATING (PCP-108).

Parapet walls should be coated up the side and across the top of the wall. POLAR CAP PLASTIC CEMENT (PC-107) should be used to seal cracks and holes prior to the POLAR CAP STANDARD ROOF COATING (PCS108) or POLAR CAP PREMIUM ROOF COATING (PCP-108) application. New stucco and masonry construction must be treated with POLAR CAP MASONRY PRIMER (PC-111) prior to coating.

Z-flashings should be carefully inspected prior to coating. if they are not completely tight, use the 3 course repair system.
