POLAR CAP STANDARD (PCS-108) or
POLAR CAP PREMIUM (PCP-108)
PLASTIC CEMENT (PC-107)
POLAR CAP RESATURANT (PC-103) is optional.
1. Power wash, broom
and blower, or broom and water as required.
2. If loss of the
mineral surface granules has resulted in a burn-out
condition, apply a thin coat of POLAR CAP
RESATURANT (PC-103)
and allow for a sufficient cure time of 30 days
minimum before proceeding.
3. Do not coat
shingles which are not lying flat. If curling is
evident, coating is not appropriate and will not
deter additional curling. If damage is confined to an
area less than 200 square feet, replace the shingles
in question, then proceed. If damage is confined to
an area of perhaps 25 square feet or less, the tabs
may be nailed down with roofing nails, then use the 3
course repair (see section 3) across the nail heads.
4. Use the 3
course repair
to secure vents, flashings, skylights, broken seams,
etc. against leaks. Allow 24 hour cure time. Leave
this on.
5. Shingles - Using a
1" nap 9" paint roller, apply POLAR CAP
STANDARD (PCS-108)
or POLAR
CAP PREMIUM (PCP-108) roof coating rolling toward the ridge,
pushing product against the shingle tabs. The first
coat coverage rate should be at 1 1/2 gallons per 100
square feet. The second and third coats will be
applied at 3/4 gallon per 100 square feet. Allow a
minimum of 6 hours between coats; and 24 hours if
possible.
