CONTRACTORS GUIDE Section 15 - ARCTIC SEAL - 3 MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

3 MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How long will
ARCTIC SEAL WHITE last?

Following these guidelines, you can expect a trouble free roof system for a period of 5 years or more. Recoating the roof in 5 years will insure that the coating remains weatherproof. There is no need to continually coat your roof every 2 years. Washing with a mild detergent solution annually will maintain maximum whiteness and reflectivity. Always wear soft-soled shoes when walking on your roof is unavoidable.

2. How much ARCTIC SEAL WHITE will I need? To got the proper coverage:

1 . Multiply the width of the roof times the length
i.e. 12' wide X 60' long = 720 square feet.

2. Divide that number by 100 to get coverage for 1 cost 720/100 = 7.2 gallons needed for 1 coat.

3. Multiply that number by 2 to get total gallons
7.2 X 2 = 14.4 gallons needed total.

You will need about 15 gallons total (3 5-gallon pails)

3. How long will it take to coat my roof with
ARCTIC SEAL WHITE?

Ideally, one can do all the patching and repairing necessary within an afternoon. Allow the PLASTIC CEMENT to cure overnight. Apply the first cost the following morning. This should take you no more than 4-5 hours depending on how fast you work and the size of the roof. Allow the coating to cure and apply the second coat the following morning. Therefore, about 15 hours spread over 3 days will give you at least 5 years of trouble free roof!
