HELPFUL HINTS
|
| 11-1 CURE
TIME |
Temperature, humidity,
and the extended weather forecast should be
considered when applying Polar Cap products. Do not
apply products when the temperature is below 50
degrees or within 24 hours of expected rainfall. A
heavy dew can re-wet the product and substantially
prolong the cure time. Do not apply Polar Cap
products when the dew point is within 5 degrees of
the expected low temperature. An overnight low
temperature below 32 degrees F. will also damage
uncured coating.

| 11-2
PONDING AREAS |
Total curing can
require as many as 12 days. Prior to the maximum
cured condition, the coating is susceptible to damage
if ponding areas are subjected to moisture for an
extended period of time. Within 10 days of the
application of Polar Cap products, remove water from
ponding areas. In any case water ponding should not
exceed a depth of 3/4". An extra coat of POLAR CAP
PREMIUM ROOF COATING (PCP-108) should be applied to those areas.
|
| 11-3 CLEAN
UP |
While brushes,
rollers, etc. are still wet, they can be cleaned with
water. Store rollers and brushes in Polar Cap roof
coatings for re-use within 24 to 48 hours.
|
| 11-4 SHELF
LIFE |
Polar Cap products
should always be protected from freezing. if product
is stored for an extended period, pour 1/2 cup water
onto the top of the product. Properly stored, tight
containers will preserve product for extended
periods.
